Then see 'Office Web Apps are available on premises for businesses with a SharePoint environment.' Click on 'learn more' Takes you here: Try to download from the Volume licensing center - but cannot find it- so click on the link titled 'Where is Office Web Apps?'

This brings me here - At this point you advise to go here: How do i get out of this loop? @Max - I'm not sure you really understand the need. Everyone on this thread is more than likely their companies IT Microsoft CAM (VL client account manager) and we're looking for the binary to install Office Web Apps inside our Corp networks for our own SharePoint environments.

Dvd5

We are not interested in using the free Windows Live version you recommend. The instructions to get this software are not clearly found on the VLM site. We also are licensed and entitled for this media however I just followed the exact same loop described above and after a few run around, I went searching for it via Google and found this thread. It's becoming obvious those looking for the software are not able to get it so we would very much appreciate more clear instructions on how we may download or install Office Web Apps for our own SharePoint environments. My thanks in advance for your (or any other MM's) assistance here.

We have installed: SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2010w_SP1_64Bit_English_CORE_MLF_X17-76756.iso If I check Version for Microsoft Word I see it is: 14.

This answer actually did work for my organization. We were able to find the Office Wep App installation file on the Volume License Site by using the above instructions.

We orginally couldn't find it because we were looking under 'Office Professional Plus 2010 SP1' instead of 'Office Professional Plus 2010'. We were able to find it today (9/12/2011) by choosing 'Office Professional Plus 2010'. Made sure the 32-bit version was selected and clicked download. Four files appeared for download and the second option was 'OfficeWebApps201064bit', which downloads a 200MB ISO file (SWDVD5NTRLOfficeWebApps201064BitEnglish1X16-49868.ISO). The primary issue for us is when we log into VLC and find our downloads for 'Office Professional Plus 2010 with SP1' 32 bit we see the download for Web apps which is labelled as 64-bit.

After downloading this and trying to install it states this is a 64-bit version for Server 2008 and therefore cant install. Ie. Office Web Apps 2010 with SP1 64Bit English (for SharePoint 2010). 32 bit. 605 MB. ISO The copy mentioned above in 'Office Professional Plus 2010' in the 32-bit listings is also marked as 64-bit ie.

Office Web Apps 2010 64Bit English ( for SharePoint 2010). 32 bit. 200 MB. ISO (Note the huge difference in file size?). @all, found it. It's been bundled in VLM site under the 'Office Professional Plus 2010' product. Login to VLM website / Downloads / Office Professional Plus 2010 / Operating System Type = 32bit (you wont see it if you select 64 bit) - Note: you will see your 'Office Web Apps Setup Key' on this page.

Click  button and you now see. Office Web Apps 2010 64Bit English (for SharePoint 2010), part # X16-49868, 200 MB, ISO Cheers This version does not install for 32-bit Office 2010 with SP1.

It is still a 64-bit version and therefore displays an error and won't proceed.

The download of Office 2010 Professional Plus through VLSC was successful but I am unable to access it. It took a while to discover how to use an ISO (error on my part I suspect in selecting that) but had automatically burned it to a disc. In exploring the files I used an ISO buster. Then discovered I should use the disc. Clicking on set-up via both systems brought up a message that it could not start as Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 or above was required and should be downloaded and installed. Try as I might, even with Live Help which didn't I could not trace such a download. I am using a Dell computer, build 2013 with Windows 7 Professional, both new to me so it's 2 steps forward and three back, and appear to have Windows Server 2012 loaded.

No previous Office product has been installed on this computer although Windows Easy Transfer was successfully used from older computer running XP. Can someone please advise how to proceed? Or 'h-e-l-p'! I'm stuck without access to Word and Publisher and just don't know where to look for an answer. Hi, Before we proceed, I would require some more information to assist you better.

What do you mean by ‘I am using a Dell computer, build 2013 with Windows 7 Professional, both new to me so it's 2 steps forward and three back, and appear to have Windows Server 2012 loaded’? Are you running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2012 on the system? Let us check if the setup file is running in compatibility mode. To do that, save the setup file on the desktop. Right click on the Setup file and then click on Properties. In the Properties window, click on Compatibility tab. Under Compatibility tab, uncheck Run this program in compatibility mode for and then click on OK.

Once the above steps are completed, double click on the setup file and then try installing Office 2010. I hope the above information helps. If that doesn’t help, do get back to us with more information to assist you further. Hello It looks as though my previous response went off into the ether.

2 points - I am running Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) - when I received the Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 or above message I looked on my own computer which said Windows Server 2012 but I did not follow it up, believing that it was a part of the system. Tried the suggested remedy - it was already unchecked. I downloaded the whole file again - Office Professional Plus 2010 with Service Pack 2 - automatically set to 64 bit - ISO. After the previous problems I'd used UnzipLite as an ISObuster. It would appear that it captures the ISO en route as the files can be opened by Windows Explorer. I burned the new download to disk, attempted to install after accepting the permissions request and received Setup cannot find setup controller file possibly caused by network error, error reading from CD, DVD. Or problem with package downloaded.
